It is helpful to include a year of Netflix or Amazon Prime with the gift! If you order Kindle Unlimited, Grandpa can read thousands of books for free or for a much lower costs. Some prices are set by the publisher, so there aren’t discounts for all books. We cannot begin to tell you the conversations you can have with Grandpa about what he has seen or read! It will truly open up the world for him.

The Kindle Fire HD comes in 7, 8, or 10-inch screen models, and 8 or 16 gigabytes worth of storage. The more storage, the better! Come to think of it, buy him a case, too, to keep it clean and to absorb the shock of accidentally dropping it.

Amazon Fire will soon have Alexa, which is a voice-command software program. So Grandpa can tell Alexa what to do, like open a program, play a song, get news or sports scores, or ask what the weather is like in New York. Alexa will make Grandpa’s life much easier, because he can add calendar items, set alarms and timers, create shopping lists, and more.
